Our Story

Many years ago, I worked in a bridal shop, and our brides

over a size 18 had to settle for dresses from manufacturers

that carried “women’s lines” because that was all that was

available for them. These were made to fit fuller figures,

but did not pay much attention to style or fabric quality.

They were not advertised in bridal magazines, and were

manufactured to do little more than allow a plus size girl

to purchase a bridal gown that would fit her size. It was

bittersweet to sell a bride one of these gowns.I was

pleasantly surprised to find out that, since that time,

major designers have begun to increase the sizes available

in their couture lines. These gowns ARE the ones brides

see in magazines like The Knot and Brides. How exciting

to know that curvy brides could now have a wonderful

bridal experience like their less-curvaceous counterparts!
